6:00 AM Stop smoking today! -
To stop smoking, you need to set a quit date. Smoke normally until that date. You must be increasingly aware of the drive to smoke. Remember this feeling is anxiety which triggers off a false danger signal. Ignore that signal and let it fade away. get rid off smoking materials. At first, the desire to smoke will come frequently. Then, the craving gets less intense and the time between them gets longer. Picture the danger signal fading away until it runs out of battery. Just like a dodgy television remote, you sometimes will get a sputtering of life from something that was flat. However if you don't recharge it(by smoking) , it will die in the end. KEEP GOING AND YOU WILL BE ON YOUR WAY TO FREEDOM! :D-Josias adapted from the book <free yourself from smoking> by Kristina Ivings 2:24 AM Ways To Stop Smoking. - Friday, April 22, 2011
Ways To Stop SmokingInstead of going for coffee, go for tea, clean your houses and try to divert from everything that reminds you of smoking cigarettes. Do something interesting in evening, but take care not to play on money. Building Up A New Atmosphere You need to build up a brand new atmosphere for yourself. Building up a new atmosphere is part of an excercise to stop smoking cigarettes. Make everything around you such that it would give a fresh feeling to you. For example, if you often smoke near a telephone, change its location. -Mei Yi 10:33 PM What Cigarettes Contain. - Thursday, April 21, 2011
There are over 4,000 different addictives in cigarettes and that is not counting the tobacco. A lot of these cigarette addictives can be found in other products such as food and while they were tested for other uses, these addictives in your cigarettes were never actually tested to see what would happen when they were burned. Cigarette Addictives Below is JUST A FEW of the addictives that are inhaled with each puff of a cigarette. -DDT - An insecticide that was eventually banned -Acetone - This is usually found in nail polish remover -Butane - You can find this in your lighter fluid -Cyanide - By now we should all know that cyanide is a very deadly poison -Ammonia - Used to clean your home and the smell is awful and overpowering to the senses -Benzene - This product can be found in synthetic rubber and also used to make dye products -Arsenic - Another deadly poison that is often used to kill rats -Formaldehyde - An embalming fluid and teens often use it to get high -Naphthalene - Mothball ingredient -Nicotine - Nicotine was a poison that was once and may still be used to kill roaches -A few other key ingredients include Carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxides, Looking at these ingredients, I don't know anyone who would willingly put these ingredients into their bodies daily or even hourly the way a smoker does with each cigarette that is smoked. One big issue is that most smokers are completely unaware of what each stick of cigarette contains.
